Metavante (NYSE:MV), a leading provider of banking and payments technology, today announced that Citizens National Bank of Meridian has renewed its multi-year core banking agreement with Metavante Corporation.

A community bank established in 1888 with assets exceeding $1 billion, Citizens National Bank is headquartered in Meridian, Miss., with 26 full-service banking offices throughout the state.

The Bankway renewal agreement marks the continuation of Citizens National Bank's 31-year core processing relationship with Metavante. Bankway software is a comprehensive core banking package that uses a single-system, customer-centric architecture.

This latest contract broadens the bank's deployment of Metavante banking and payments technology with the adoption of a suite of its products and services. The additional solutions include: imaging services, risk and compliance solutions, customer relationship management, consulting and professional services, and participation in the NYCE Payments Network. In addition, Citizens National Bank of Meridian is switching all of its debit and ATM transaction processing to Metavante's electronic funds transfer (EFT) technology.

"Citizens National Bank of Meridian's multi-decade partnership with Metavante demonstrates our confidence in their ability to provide quality solutions to support our short- and long-term goals," said David Barr, chief operating officer, Citizens National Bank of Meridian. "By incorporating ancillary solutions to our existing Metavante services and replacing current EFT technology, we can assure Citizens National Bank customers a more fluid and effortless banking experience."

"The functionality and integration between Metavante's Bankway core processing, EFT and image technologies promotes a consistent experience for Citizens National Bank of Meridian and its customers, helping the bank to meet its financial and business goals of becoming Mississippi's Community Bank," said Rachel Landrum, president, Metavante Banking Solutions - Bankway. "It's a privilege for us to continue our longstanding relationship with a bank that has served Mississippi as a locally owned community bank for over 120 years. Citizens National Bank of Meridian has been a strategic partner of ours for decades and we hope to continue that relationship for decades into the future."
