Surecomp, a leading provider of front and back office trade finance solutions is pleased to announce that NetIMEX, Surecomp's Internet Front-Office Trade Finance solution, is now in live production use at Commerce Bank.

With assets in excess of $29 billion, Commerce Bank is the largest bank headquartered in New Jersey, serving Metropolitan Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York and Delaware. Commerce Bank is a growth retailer that focuses on the convenient delivery of unsurpassed customer service. The bank has successfully developed and implemented a unique retail strategy. This retail approach to banking features easily recognizable stores, seven-day branch banking, unparalleled customer service and extensive marketing. The consistent delivery and reinforcement of this retail strategy for more than 30 years has produced one of the nation's most successful brands.

Previously, Commerce Bank implemented IBSnet, Surecomp's Windows(r)-based, SWIFT Ready Gold Trade Finnace solution. Having gone live with IBSnet in late November 2003, the Bank turned its focus on the second stage of the project, the installation of NetIMEX. Designed for use by the bank's Corporate and Commercial customers, NetIMEX allows Commerce Bank to offer its corporate customers a comprehensive front-to-back trade finance solution.

The Internet is not a new tool for Commerce Bank. In late 1995 the bank introduced their customers to Commerce Online Banking and has since continued to exceed the national acceptance rate for home banking products by a wide margin. In the Spring of 1997, Commerce also became one of the nation's first banks to provide customers with an online real-time Internet home banking service by offering Commerce Online Banking through its Website. Today, the Commerce Online Banking system, serves more than 384,000 consumer and business customers and has an outstanding household penetration rate of 38.1 percent.

Trade Finance is an important part of Commerce Bank's full range of Specialized Lending products and investing in Surecomp has ensured the bank's extensive trade business is easier, quicker and more streamlined to meet customers' needs.

Commerce Bank is justifiably proud of its unique combination of high level of personal "WOW" service coupled with the latest technology. This winning combination ensures that Commerce is well equipped to handle the growing needs of importers and exporters in the bank's marketplace. The implementation of IBSnet and NetIMEX helps to strengthen Commerce Bank's position as a provider of quality Trade Finance products and services.

Surecomp's Vice President responsible for Customer Services, Steve O'Brien commented, "We knew from the outset that Commerce Bank was looking to make a big leap from their previous system capabilities. With the implementation of NetIMEX and IBSnet, the Bank now offers their corporate customers complete front-to-back trade finance capability, which translates into an even more improved workflow and service capabilities. As IBSnet 4.2 is installed with the NetIMEX interface as a standard feature, we eliminate any development risk as it is a proven gateway used by a number of our worldwide customers. We look forward to the success of this major milestone."
