Teradata Corporation (NYSE: TDC), the global leader in enterprise data warehousing and enterprise analytics, today announced that Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, (NYSE: BBV), financial group with a presence in 32 countries and more than 48 million customers, has deployed a Teradata Active Enterprise Data Warehouse as the foundation for its enterprise intelligence initiative.
BBVA has migrated its anti-money laundering and marketing program management applications, including customer segmentation and campaign management, to the Teradata platform. Business users can now run more strategic marketing analyses in less time, and with functionality that was not previously available. Users have decreased the time to complete complex analytic analyses by as much as 50 percent, thus improving the "time-to-market" for marketing programs.
Teradata has enabled BBVA's technology services business unit, Information Platform Group, to better serve the bank's business users with a significant improvement in "batch" processing time, simplification of production processes and a general reduction of complexity.
