This follows the expanded distribution agreement between ICAP and Thomson Reuters for ICAP historical tick data and ICAP real-time content in 2008. This is the first time that EBS Ticker has been made available beyond EBS trading customers through a third party vendor.

From today, clients will be able to access EBS Ticker data through the Thomson Reuters' real-time feed offerings (RDF and RDF+) for use in enterprise-wide business applications, thereby offering them a streaming view of the global spot FX market. EBS Ticker is a feed of real-time prices on the EBS spot platform, comprising one-second time slices of EBS best rate, dealt rate and time stamp. EBS Ticker market data can now be accessed via Reuters Datascope Real-Time to power applications across a range of real-time business activities including algorithmic or program trading, instrument pricing, portfolio valuation and risk management.

Antoine Kohler, Managing Director, ICAP Information Services, said "The inclusion of EBS Ticker via Reuters DataScope Real-time is a further expansion of the successful collaboration between ICAP and Thomson Reuters. Offering this additional option to banks that are not direct EBS trading customers offers those banks a broader real-time view of the global spot FX market, while at the same time expanding the distribution channel for EBS Ticker."

Mike Powell, Global Head, Enterprise Information, Thomson Reuters, said: "We have built a strong collaborative relationship with ICAP in the information services space. Thomson Reuters is committed to providing customer comprehensive coverage across all liquidity pools for all asset classes and geographies and the inclusion of EBS Ticker will further enhance our existing services"

In 2008 ICAP announced that its real-time data for use in enterprise-wide business applications would be made available through the Reuters Integrated Data Network (IDN) and by distributing ICAP's historical data. The data includes active US Treasury securities as sourced from ICAP's electronic BrokerTec platform and other ICAP-sourced government debt and fixed income products, credit derivatives, energy and commodities, spot foreign exchange, forwards, non-deliverable forwards (NDFs) and options, interest rate derivatives and money markets. As part of the expanded enterprise collaboration, ICAP's real-time spot FX EBS Ticker product will also be available to qualified Thomson Reuters customers for use in internal applications.
