Aim Software AG, a global provider of reference data management solutions to the financial industry, and SFB services4banks AG, a Swiss-based Application Service Provider (ASP) and Business Service Provider (BSP) to banks, today announced that they have entered into a strategic partnership to provide clients of SFB services4banks with a central reference data management platform based on AIM Software's GAIN Data Management solution.
In order to provide Ambit Apsys clients in Switzerland with an extended reference data service, AIM Software has selected SFB services4banks, a specialist in providing ASP and BPO services for financial institutions, as its exclusive service partner. By drawing upon SFB's competence in outsourcing and AIM Software's long-standing experience in providing data management solutions, the two partners will be able to focus on their respective core competencies while offering an optimum quality of service for Ambit Apsys clients in Switzerland.
"More and more financial institutions are recognizing the advantage of outsourcing data management," states Peter Kaszuba, CEO at SFB services4banks. "Our clients' growing demand represents a challenge that we have to meet by making the most appropriate data management solution available to them. For us, AIM Software stood out among all options for the comprehensive functionalities of its data management solution as well as its proven track record in the Ambit Apsys community with 13 live customers. By relying on GAIN, we will be able to meet the requirements arising from our current and future customer base."
As a result of the partnership, GAIN Data Management will become part of SFB's standard offering for financial institutions. The new service will be used to feed client instances with high quality reference data from multiple sources which can be integrated into Apsys through a broad range of ready-made and customizable data feed interfaces. A central focus of the service lies on the automatic processing of Telekurs data via a wide range of interfaces which are tailored to the Ambit Apsys logic. AIM Software's GAIN Data Management then handles the complete processing and mapping logic between Telekurs and Ambit Apsys.
One of the most salient advantages for SFB clients is the simple and quick supply of data. Without the need to install any hardware or application, customers can access reference data from different providers as well as open new instruments directly in Ambit Apsys via GAIN. By thus reducing time-consuming and error-prone manual data collection, financial institutions will be able to cut down on costs and increase overall operational efficiency. More-over, the external hosting of GAIN allows the customer-pool to share the expenses for enhancements and adjust-ments. This means that the total effort for each institution can be further reduced. Thus, also smaller and mid-sized financial institutions can obtain access to high-end data management solutions that they might otherwise not consider.
"We are looking forward to further extending our offering for Ambit Apsys clients by a new ASP service that gives financial institutions an even wider choice," outlines Josef Sommeregger, Head of Business Development at AIM Software. "The strategic partnership between SFB services4banks and AIM Software with clearly defined responsi-bilities will help our joint clients to benefit from both partners' experience and enable them to fully concentrate on their core business processes while additionally saving costs."
