TransCard - a leading provider of prepaid debit card solutions branded with MasterCard, Discover Network and STAR associations - has announced that Jerry Uffner will be the company's new President.
Uffner had been TransCard's Chief Marketing Officer. He will report to TransCard's CEO, Craig Fuller.
"This year promises to be one of phenomenal success and expansion for TransCard as we are propelled forward by the remarkable momentum we experienced in the fourth quarter of 2008," says Fuller. "As TransCard continues to experience exponential growth, I need to be able to focus on the strategic positioning of our company's future. With Jerry overseeing the executive management of the company, this allows me to have fewer direct reports and more time to accomplish key organizational objectives. Jerry has years of experience within the prepaid industry, making him uniquely qualified for this position. He is an asset to our team, and I am confident he will be a responsible steward of our corporation."
Prior to joining TransCard, Uffner was Sr. Vice President of Sales for nFinanSe. He also served as Vice President of Financial Services for InComm and held previous sales management positions at First Data, Comdata and RBS Lynk.
"TransCard is in a singular position in prepaid," says Uffner. "Not only are we one of a very select group of core gateway processors with direct interfaces to the card associations in the United States, but we also have a global reach and are looking forward to expanding our international presence this year. With sophisticated custom-built, proprietary technology; compliance criteria that far exceed industry standards; cutting-edge mobile applications; and unparalleled value-added cardholder benefits-I am excited that I can be part of this company's unstoppable forward trajectory."
Uffner has a BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh and attended MBA School at the University of Dallas.
