Ukash and eBIZ.mobility team on digital payments

eBIZ.mobility and Ukash announced today the integration of Ukash with eBIZ.mobility's OneTouch Online Purchasing solution for international online payments.

Ukash is a leading prepaid voucher available at over 200,000 retail purchase points worldwide. By integrating with the unique OneTouch Online Purchasing payment processing solution, Ukash customers will now be able to buy more digital content online using their PCs, mobile phones or other devices with Internet access.

According to Mark Chirnside, Ukash's CEO, the goal is to open up Internet commerce to traditionally underserved markets across the globe. "Content is king, and eBIZ.mobility's OneTouch Online Purchasing expands the reach of Ukash deeper into the digital content market, enabling merchants to increase their revenues by monetizing classically disenfranchised consumers. OneTouch gives Ukash customers more things to buy online, converting them from passive window shoppers into active purchasers," he said.

Using OneTouch Online Purchasing, downloads are charged directly to consumers' existing accounts at their phone company, Internet provider, or bank, (either pre- or post-paid), without any need for the consumer to reveal sensitive information online.

When buying online using OneTouch, only the service provider is aware of the identity of each consumer, resulting in top level privacy and security for buyers. The patent-pending technology behind OneTouch Online Purchasing offers a level of privacy protection which is unmatched by other online payment services.
