SDS releases mortgage compliance application

Statutory regulation of mortgages is to be introduced this year under the Financial Services Authority, as a response SDS Applications Ltd have released a fully compliant version of their MAPS system which will enable lenders, packagers and networks to comply with the new rules.
The software has been developed to address all up coming the compliance issues, including compliant on demand document generation, making personalised key facts illustrations available via a wide variety distribution channels.
The compliance module has been created using the latest web technologies for speedy implementation across internal networks, as well as introducer and public access via the Internet.
Compliant documentation - The system dynamically generates all key documents in both standard and custom formats; e.g. Initial Disclosure Document (IDD), Key Facts Illustrations (KFI), including the FSA required sections, and has been built using FSA required calculations. The system supports both Microsoft Word & PDF formats. SDS’s regular update program keeps you current with the latest software releases, and additional non-scheduled updates keep you on top of regulatory changes.
Product sourcing, selection & maintenance - Designed specifically to handle the complexities of the UK market (including complex non-conforming product data), MAPS holds details of the lenders’ product profiles with full underwriting criteria, rules and special conditions.
Online Decision in Principle (DIP) - Having selected a product, users can then enter their details on-line and can be presented with an offer in principle in a matter of seconds. Where the enquiry is outside the standard lending criteria users can be re-directed to a 'call me back' option to discuss the case in more detail. Online Case Tracking – Internal users as well as introducers and their clients have their own unique login allowing them to track the progress of applications from start to finish.
Full audit trails, document storage and archiving - A full audit trail records all activity on the system and event-email, workflow and escalation procedures ensure important tasks are never overlooked. The system archives all documents produced by the system, these are automatically stored against the application and client for historical reference.
Usability - From a user's perspective, the SDS software is very easy to learn and use. Screen displays are designed to be familiar easy-to-read, and visually attractive. All on-line help files and printed documentation are written in plain English, and system navigation is intuitive.
