Telekurs Financial Ltd officially unveiled its new name and logo today, following the re-branding of its parent company, the SIX Group.

From now on Telekurs Financial Information Ltd shall be called SIX Telekurs Ltd, a move which represents a significant milestone in the company's history. The new name emphasises the close ties that SIX Telekurs Ltd has with its affiliated companies of the SIX Group and also signifies the increased international focus the organisation has adopted. SIX stands for Swiss Infrastructure and eXchange.

At the beginning of January 2008, SWX Group, Telekurs Group and SIS Group were merged to form Swiss Financial Market Services (SFMS). On the 21st August, SFMS changed its name to SIX Group, a brand that embodies the successful combination of the three founding partner companies, their impressive infrastructure and expansive network, as well as their experience as a stock exchange organisation. As part of the SIX Group, SIX Telekurs is also committed to these values, and looks forward to working as part of a closely-knit team of companies, which shall strengthen the company's footprint in the global market. At the same time, SIX Telekurs shall focus on its local expertise in the 23 countries in which it operates, shall continue to work closely with its customers, and offer them full support on a global scale.

Fritz Hediger, Head of Marketing of SIX Telekurs, commented on the re-branding saying, "This is a very exciting day for our shareholders, customers and employees. This rebranding is a natural extension of our commitment to deliver excellence to our customers, to broaden our local presence and simultaneously our international reach. This dynamic visual identity represents our optimism for the future, and will help us to position ourselves as a leading source of comprehensive financial information and services to the financial industry."
