Experian, the global information service company, has published a free guide to help corporate organisations cost-effectively take advantage of Swift, the global secure financial network.
SWIFT for the Masses The New Business Case highlights the treasury and payments issues faced by many corporates today. It discusses what is perceived as preventing these organisations from taking advantage of SWIFT and shows how the landscape has changed sufficiently for most corporates to build a SWIFT business case and enjoy the benefits.
In the guide, Experian advises corporates to:
- minimise integration costs by choosing a solution which can integrate with all their business applications to minimise costs
- evaluate connection to their banks via a SWIFT bureau to reduce operating costs
- consider the efficiency of all corporate-to-bank communications rather than just treasury payments and FX
- re-evaluate the business case for using SWIFT in light of new single gateway products and other cost savings
Terry Dirienzo, Product and Marketing Director at Experian Payments, explained: "Corporate connectivity to SWIFT was initially focussed on the largest organisations due to the high integration costs with their back-office systems. This guide seeks to show that it is viable for smaller corporates to take advantage of this service cost-effectively. We therefore believe that now is the time for corporates to take another look at the business case for SWIFT."
Copies of the guide are available free of charge from the Experian Payments stand in Hall B at Sibos 2008, Vienna, 15-19 September.
