Fair Isaac Corporation today announced that Certegy Inc. a leading global payment services provider, is implementing version 7 of Fair Isaac's TRIAD adaptive control system to offer financial institutions enhanced capabilities for effective credit portfolio management.

Certegy has been offering Fair Isaac's portfolio management system as a value-added solution to its comprehensive payment processing services since 2000. Providing continual testing, learning and refining of portfolio strategies in a "champion/challenger" test environment, TRIAD enables credit grantors to create more customized and profitable account decision strategies.

"Certegy is continually investing in the most advanced technologies in the market to ensure that we can continue to provide the best services and benefits possible to our customers," says Larry Towe, president and chief operating officer of Certegy. "Fair Isaac's TRIAD has proven to be a very reliable account management tool in helping our clients manage and retain more profitable customers, and offering the upgraded version as part of our outsourced offering will give them access to the latest account management decisioning technologies."

"Balancing growth and loss is an ongoing struggle for financial institutions as they try to maintain margins, grow the size of their portfolios and control charge-offs," comments Doug Clare, vice president of Account Management Solutions at Fair Isaac. "By offering the TRIAD 7 system, Certegy can meet its clients' evolving account management demands. As a hosted service, it also provides a way for small and medium-sized card issuers with limited technology budgets to access the enhanced flexibility and predictive power of TRIAD 7 for strengthening customer value and portfolio profitability."

Fair Isaac's TRIAD 7 offers a highly flexible, integrated platform for the company's advanced analytic and decision technology. It provides even greater flexibility for the deployment of advanced analytics and more effective portfolio management through an array of new features -- including a greatly expanded and more flexible decision key library, a performance-based pricing decision area, refined security options, multiple credit lines per account, and an improved PC-front end.

An optional component of TRIAD 7 is the integration of Fair Isaac Blaze Decision System, which enables users to create customized decision keys and segmentation rules for deployment in their account management strategies. Blaze Decision System also gives TRIAD the power to concurrently compute multiple scores, allowing lenders to leverage risk, attrition and profitability analytics for enhanced decision making.
