Genesis Securities, the Nasdaq Platinum certified trading technology developer and self-clearing broker/dealer, has launched direct market access (DMA) trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) through its award-winning Laser trading platform.

The service is available to professional traders, institutions, and black boxes, integrating domestic and international market centers on one trading system.

"Demand for international trading has recently risen dramatically amongst professional traders and institutional investors," said William Yeh, CEO of Genesis Securities. "With the successful integration of the first international exchange into our trading platform and API, we now have the ability to expand the reach of our trading technology to market centers across the globe."

The LASER Global Trading Platform offers streaming L1 and L2 quotes, depth of book data, time and sales for foreign securities. Clients can place orders through the application-based trading platform while asset managers will have access to a trade desk for broker-assisted trading. Clients using trading algorithms can connect directly to international markets using the Genesis API. Market data is offered in FAST (FIX Adapted for STreaming) protocol for short development periods and improved compression and CPU utilization.

Genesis is committed to offering its clients additional avenues for trading and investment while maintaining a focus on fast executions and highly competitive commission rates. Trading on other international exchanges, such as the London Stock Exchange, is slated to begin in late 2008.
