IMX, the global leader in banknote trading and travel money technology solutions, today announced that its TMX (Travel Money Exchange) online solution has been selected by Midlands Co-op Travel to manage its foreign exchange business strategy.
With IMX's technology to streamline its processes, Midlands Co-op Travel is able to shorten transaction times as TMX manages its foreign currency exchange facility from start to finish. IMX's TMX manages branch currency ordering and fully automates travel bureaux at more than 80 Midlands Co-op Travel outlets across the region.
By implementing TMX, Midlands's Co-op Travel has the ability to maintain real-time control of its branch network. Central administration can view, manage and report on inventory, products, fees and rates, via a secure front-end that has been specifically tailored to meet its requirements.
By centralising this administration, manual interaction is greatly reduced which significantly impacts the level of errors. Head office can see what inventory is held at a cashier level and during the day, it can receive real-time information on the type of transactions being performed, at what time and by whom.
Jon Newbery, CEO at IMX Software comments: "IMX is focused on making the travel exchange facility a pain-free experience for all involved. Our deployment of TMX across Midlands Co-op Travel allows for better branch management as much of the travel exchange process is now automated. This in turn benefits the customer who will receive improved customer service as our exchange services become more efficient."
David Haywood, Foreign Exchange Manager, Midlands Co-op Travel added, "This upgrade to our existing travel exchange technology provides a real time solution for our travel bureau facility and allows our staff to focus on the excellent service that our customers are used to. IMX was selected as the right business solution for our needs and not only has the deployment clearly met our requirements at head office, but it has also been delivered on time and to budget."
