ACI Worldwide (Nasdaq: TSAI), a leading international provider of enterprise e-payment solutions, and Wincor Nixdorf, one of the leading providers of IT solutions and products for retailers and banks, have announced a strategic partnership to achieve interoperability of respective products and to benefit from each others experience in the development and marketing of ATM and self-service solution market.

After many years of jointly delivering technically advanced ATM networks, ACI and Wincor Nixdorf will now work together in strategic, technical, and sales areas to support new functionalities for each other's products.

Industry developments such as EMV and IFX will require new methods of support within both partners' respective products. ACI and Wincor Nixdorf recognized the need for cooperation and are currently working to ensure smooth interoperability as they develop EMV and IFX solutions for major financial institutions.

According to Reinhard Rabenstein, Vice President of Wincor Nixdorf, "With this agreement between the two companies we have laid the cornerstone to be even more successful in customer projects. The object of this business relationship is to make joint efforts to intensify standardization activities for self service devices and to generate synergies from information exchange, development and mutual projects. In addition to the role which this relationship plays in a multivendor strategy for customers, it will also focus on promoting and deploying new technologies. Another key objective will undoubtedly be to win new customers and projects together."

"ACI is committed to offering the self-service solutions our customers demand," said Jeff Hale, Chief Marketing Officer of ACI Worldwide. "Our strategic relationship with Wincor Nixdorf will allow us to synchronize our efforts around market-based initiatives like EMV and IFX, ensuring that our joint customers get the very best in features and end-to-end capabilities. The result will be more cost-efficient self-service transaction processing, a better customer experience and better platform for addressing developing market requirements."

Both Wincor Nixdorf and ACI Worldwide pleased to formalize their long standing relationship encompassing worldwide development, sales and marketing organizations.
