Xploite plc ('Xploite', 'the Group', AIM: XPT) the operator and aggregator of strategic and high-growth IT services businesses, announces that Anix, its managed services and storage subsidiary, has won a £3.73m, 5-year contract to provide wide-ranging infrastructure management for a European bank.

As part of the agreement, Xploite will supply the bank with a highly resilient, fault tolerant network infrastructure based on Sun and IBM technology. The infrastructure will be hosted from two Tier 3 data centres in Ireland, providing SAN (storage area network) replication to ensure zero data loss and disaster recovery and a virtualised test environment running VMware. Systems management will be provided from Anix's two network operations centres in Bristol and Manchester, and be supported by the Itheon Application Management Platform, which Xploite purchased through the acquisition of Itheon last year.

Ian Smith, Xploite Chief Executive, commented, "This win demonstrates that despite the turbulence in the financial services sector, there is no let up in demand for Anix's services. Furthermore, the use of the Itheon platform is proof that synergies from recent acquisitions are enabling us to offer a wider range of offerings to clients."
