IBM and ERI Bancaire ink deal

In a move to strengthen its Banking Strategy, IBM has reached an agreement with ERI Bancaire S.A. to offer additional services in the area of Consulting, Support, Application Management and Hosting Services based around the OLYMPIC Banking System.

Following the acquisition of Unicible assets in June 2007, IBM created a Banking Competence Center (BCC) based in Lausanne. BCC is a trusted partner for financial institutions in Switzerland as an end-to-end solution partner in Consulting, System Integration, Application Management and Hosting. This is supported by the development of scalable offerings based on standard banking packages and multiplatform environment. One of the key features of the development strategy is to work closely with major banking solution software vendors in Switzerland.

Rich in experts in almost all areas of banking applications, BCC offers a wide range of services in Portfolio Management, CRM, e-Banking and Risk & Compliance. It also offers infrastructure services such as User Help Desk, Server Management and Monitoring.

IBM and ERI Bancaire S.A. have been working together since 1989, and both companies have shared successes in Europe and around the world, with more than 280 systems installed. ERI Bancaire S.A. is vigorously developing the OLYMPIC Banking System based on IBM hardware and software technology. "This new agreement is a natural development and extension of our successful relationship with ERI Bancaire S.A. and strengthens the IBM Banking Strategy both in Switzerland and worldwide" says Patrick Hendier, Directeur for IBM in Suisse Romande.

Marc Assaraf, Directeur Général of ERI Bancaire S.A. says : "This collaboration with IBM will enable with even greater precision the response to the needs of banks wanting to outsource the management of their data system. »

The agreement was signed on April 1st 2008, and fits current markets needs for more end-to-end and integrated solutions.
