HandySoft, the leading global provider of Business Process Management (BPM) and Tasking solutions, announced today that Union National Bank (UNB) of the United Arab Emirates has selected BizFlow as its foundation for business process modernization.

Working with HandySoft's regional partner GTFS-Clientsoft, an IT Consultancy and application solution provider, UNB will use BizFlow to develop the e-Workflow application for streamlining strategic business processes related to financial services, IT and compliance.

Established in 1982, UNB is the only bank in UAE that is jointly owned by the Governments of Abu Dhabi and Dubai. UNB is the winner of the Dubai Quality Award and SKEA Gold awards and was recently named "the best performing bank in the UAE" by Forbes. Subsidiaries include Union Brokerage Company, Al Wifaq Finance Company and Union National Bank - Eqypt.

Says David Stringer, Managing Director of GTFS-Clientsoft, "at the heart of every business there are complex processes that run it. In their e-Workflow project, UNB plans to streamline and automate 50 different business processes. By choosing GTFS-Clientsoft to deliver BPM solutions powered by BizFlow, Union National Bank can provide both their customers and internal users the unique balance of tactical and strategic services that deliver increased productivity at lower costs."

Adds Garth Knudson, Director of Marketing and International Operations for HandySoft, "Financial Services Institutions such as UNB can significantly reduce their operational costs while improving overall client services through process-driven applications deployed through BizFlow. We have proven it in the United States, Europe, and Asia. We're excited to support UNB in harnessing the value of BizFlow in the Middle East."
