TLS is the business process outsourcing subsidiary division of Target Group, which already works with Ecclesiastical as its mortgage systems provider. After being placed on a shortlist as an outsourcing partner, TLS won the work because Ecclesiastical believes it understands the involved processes that have grown around Ecclesiastical's their niche mortgage customer base, and because it was considered to be better placed to continue Ecclesiastical's very personal and conversational style of customer service.

Mark Hindley, Financial Services Director at Ecclesiastical, said, "We needed to find an outsourcing partner which would provide the individual service needed and which was sympathetic to our approach. Target has proved that it has the flexibility and resources to protect our brand and manage our customer base with the right level of sensitivity."

TLS is now handling all customer communication and will manage the run down of the book over the next two to three years. Its activities include statements and repayments, rate change notifications, arrears processing, and redemptions.
