Iranian and Indonesian capital markets association sign MoU

Iranian and Indonesian capital markets has signed MOU to start more friendly cooperation among two important Muslim Nations.

The MOU between "Securities and Exchange Organization of Iran (SEO) and "Indonesia Capital Market and Financial Institutions Supervisory Agency (Bapepam-LK)" - the regulatory and supervisory bodies of capital markets - has signed in Jakarta on 28 January 2008 between Dr. Ali Salehabadi, President and Chairman of the Board of SEO and Dr. A. Fuad Rahmany, Chairman of Bapepam-LK. This was the first MOU between Indonesian capital market authority and a country in MENA region.

Meanwhile, the Tehran Stock Exchange Co. (TSE) and Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) - the operational bodies of capital markets - have signed an MOU in Jakarta on 29 January 2008 between Dr. Ali Rahmani, Managing Director of TSE and Mr. Erry Firmansyah, President Director of IDX. This was the first MOU signed by the newly established IDX following merging of Jakarta and Surabaya Stock Exchanges.

The two bodies agreed to cooperate in various fields of capital market industry, namely exchange expertise, public information and technical knowledge, facilitate cross-listing and cross-trading, formulating education and exchange training programs and any other related issues.
