By moving away from a legacy hardwired system, Schneider now has a flexible IP-based solution that is integrated into the enterprise voice and data environment and can meet the varying communications requirements of its existing and new clientele.
Designed purely for the VoIP world, IP Trade's turrets were integrated into Schneider's existing Cisco IP-PBX system - without a need for infrastructure upgrades - and went live less than a month after internal approval of the project. Schneider turned to IP Trade for a native IP-based trading solution after years of difficulty supporting hardwired dealerboards from a legacy supplier. Schneider now manages its voice trading network from a centralised architecture in London and is in discussions to expand the IP Trade technology to other global offices.
As a SIP-enabled turret, the IP Trade solution provides extended functionality that allows Schneider to deliver dedicated and customised trading services to its diverse client roster. Through a flexible GUI and rapid configurability, clients are able to customise functions and applets on the turrets, personalising it to suit their specific requirements. The flexibility of the architecture also allows IP Trade to deliver new services and updates quickly and has given Schneider an opportunity to expand its proactive brokerage business efforts.
"We have been waiting for years for someone to develop a technology such as IP Trade's that could sit on top of our IP network and deliver the scalability and flexibility that VoIP enables," said Collin Coleman, IT Director, Schneider Trading Associates. "By utilising a pure IP-based turret, we can provide our clients with a customisable integrated voice and data environment, something that wouldn't be possible with other trading technology configured for IP networks, which tends to come with significant proprietary code. We're pleased with how smooth the integration process was and how responsive IP Trade has been in providing new enhancements."
"As the only provider of a SIP-enabled turret, IP Trade was able to deliver Schneider Trading Associates a solution that would capitalise on the full potential of their existing IP-PBX network and facilitate unified communications across the enterprise," said Chris Bates, VP EMEA, IP Trade. "The move from hardwired legacy systems to IP-based trading communications gives Schneider the agility to manage varying communications requirements and better respond to the needs of the business. Our commitment to innovation and the flexibility of our solutions means we will continue to deliver new functionality as Schneider continues to grow its client base."
