Tervela appoints Ciampa VP of marketing; Johnson CFO

Tervela, the leading developer of high performance messaging systems, today named Robert Ciampa as its new Vice President of Marketing and Stephen A. Johnson as its Chief Financial Officer.

Bringing more than 20 years of experience successfully designing and delivering leading edge technology solutions to global markets, Ciampa joins Tervela's management team to provide strategic worldwide marketing direction to the growing message switch provider. Johnson, with more than 30 years of extensive, financial management experience for public and private technology companies, is responsible for strategic leadership and financial management for all of Tervela's corporate-wide financial operations and accounting practices.

Ciampa was previously vice president of marketing and business strategy for Trusted Network Technologies, the award-winning leader in identity-based networking. Prior to this, Ciampa lead worldwide business development for Access360 and was instrumental in its acquisition by IBM. At IBM, Ciampa was responsible for growing global channel sales and managing worldwide marketing and operations for enterprise-class middleware portfolios. Ciampa was also cofounder and VP marketing and business development for NetEffect, which became one of the world's largest specialized systems integrators. Before that, he held the strategic marketing and engineering management positions for 3Com, bringing numerous, successful high performance infrastructure solutions to market.

Johnson was formerly CFO for ManageSoft Corporation, a multinational software company specializing in dynamic software management and compliance solutions. Prior to that he was CFO at Centra Software, Inc., a $40 million provider of application software and services for real-time enterprise collaboration. He lead Centra through two rounds of venture financing and a successful $80 million IPO. Before Centra, Johnson was the director of finance, worldwide field operations for Avid Technology, Inc., a highly successful $500 million public company that is the world leader in digital media creation tools. He was also an audit supervisor at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and a Certified Public Accountant.
