VeriFone payment products get Cartes Bancaires certification

VeriFone Holdings (NYSE: PAY) today announced that it has received approval from France's GIE Groupement des Cartes Bancaires for its advanced IP-enabled Vx Solutions countertop and portable payment solutions.

Following the certification, VeriFone has announced the availability of its VX 510 and VX 670 products, part of VeriFone's industry-leading Vx solutions systems, across the whole French market. The certification will mean that VeriFone now offers a complete range of payment solutions adapted to a broad range of market sectors.

VeriFone's countertop VX 510 combines superior speed and power to offer exceptional payment processing, plus increased memory to support a wide range of value-added applications. PCI PED-approved by Visa and MasterCard for debit and other PIN-based transactions, the VX 510 supports dial and Ethernet connectivity.

VeriFone's VX 670 is the smallest all-in-one wireless handheld payment device - with PCI PED approval. Built with Purpose-inspired design - with the end user in mind - the VX 670 opens profitable new market opportunities. Bluetooth, GPRS and Wi-Fi fixed communication options are perfect for accepting payment in places such as restaurants, bars and stadiums, as well as delivery operations.
