LexisNexis today introduced Prospect Portfolio, a new sales intelligence tool designed to help sales professionals grow their business by building new sales leads and cultivating existing business by using comprehensive information that is easy to use and designed for the way sales professionals work.
Prospect Portfolio helps sales find opportunities, get alerts, and create lists to help capture leads, make sales, and build rapport with customers and prospects.
Prospect Portfolio will be fully integrated in the "Sales Intelligence" section of saleforce.com's AppExchange. Salesforce.com is the market and technology leader in Software-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service.
With more companies and executives than any other source, Prospect Portfolio features information on more than 43 million companies and 58 million executives. Additionally, Prospect Portfolio integrates access to approximately 16,000 news sources, and comprehensive coverage of legal information, Intellectual Property, legislative property, and merger/acquisitions information.

Combining salesforce.com's suite of on-demand Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications along with the extensive LexisNexis company and executive information allows sales professionals to integrate up-to-date background with current contacts and prospects. With the Prospect Portfolio list-generation ability, sales professionals can develop targeted, extensive lists of prospects and integrate these lists directly into contacts in their Salesforce CRM applications.

With an easy-to-use interface, Prospect Portfolio is designed - visually and functionally - to quickly provide the information needed to quickly identify leads and close more deals.
For more in-depth, targeted list development, Prospect Portfolio allows customers to search by using up to 25 different criteria including geographic area, number of employees, sales figures, and SIC and NAICS codes. These searches can then be saved and accessed directly from the home page. Additionally, the application allows customers to view a history of previous searches on companies or executives.
To keep up-to-date with changing company and client information, sales representatives can receive email or online "alerts" regarding news, legal, financial, intellectual property or executive changes.
