Citibank (Banamex USA) is using Metavante's Web-based, end-to-end Loan Origination Studio (LOS) solution for retail loan origination. Metavante's loan origination technology combines a single, central database with comprehensive origination, processing and closing capabilities in order to increase efficiencies and streamline loan fulfillment processes.

"We chose Metavante's LOS product because it is integrated with the rest of our core banking platform and it allows us to leverage the technology we're already using from Metavante," said Salvador Villar, chairman and chief executive officer of Citibank (Banamex USA). "We found that the functionality of Metavante's LOS is outstanding and will lead to increased productivity. Our loan officers also really liked the ease of training on the system."

"We are pleased to provide our Web-based loan origination solution to Citibank (Banamex USA). We are increasing the bank's loan origination efficiency in two ways, by deploying our LOS technology and by providing integration with the Metavante core banking application already in use at Citibank (Banamex USA)," said Cy Brinn, president of Metavante Lending Solutions. "Citibank's (Banamex USA) use also provides us with another opportunity to further expand our product to support non-U.S. lending and Spanish-speaking markets. Citibank (Banamex USA) is demonstrating that even in a challenging mortgage marketplace, there are opportunities for increasing market share by creating a mortgage program that caters to consumers who are interested in purchasing property in Mexico," Brinn added.
