Appian, an innovative global provider of business process management (BPM) technology, today announced that Swiss Reinsurance Company, the world's leading and most diversified global reinsurer, has selected Appian's BPM Software Suite to manage their workflow requirements.
Swiss Re previously utilised a point solution for their workflow requirements. However, as the business has rapidly grown, the demands have become much greater. After an initial pilot phase it is planned to use Appian Enterprise to manage mission critical operational processes globally within the business.
Swiss Re made this selection after a thorough vendor evaluation, conducted over nine months. After an in-depth analysis that covered the product, the vendor and the management team, Appian was awarded an Enterprise Site License contract.
Sami Hassanein, Director of EBPM Platforms at Swiss Re, said, "Appian offered us a mature, stable, easy-to-use, and rich BPM platform. Its workflow capabilities will be our primary focus. The Appian product perfectly integrates into our existing product landscape. Additionally we received excellent and professional support and commitment from the Appian team during the evaluation project, which also enables us to look forward to a long term future together."
Appian's Managing Director for EMEA, Justin Thomas, said, "Appian are very pleased to welcome Swiss Re as a Strategic Client to our rapidly growing and valued European client base. We are fully committed to maintaining and developing the already strong working relationship with the Swiss Re project team. Together, we look forward to supporting Swiss Re's plans for scaling the Appian Enterprise Solution. This will ensure that Swiss Re can realise the value of workflow throughout the organisation."
