C&F Remote Deposit enables business customers to scan, submit, and deposit their checks electronically. Additionally, Goldleaf's remote capture SmartScan functionality allows eligible checks to be converted to ACH items for collection. C&F Remote Deposit will be offered through C&F Treasury Solutions, a newly formed division focused on cash management and deposit services to help commercial and small business customers more efficiently and effectively manage cash flow.

Thomas F. Cherry, executive vice president and CFO of C&F Bank, commented, "We are pleased to strengthen our existing relationship with Goldleaf. The remote capture solution provides the means to dramatically expand the treasury management services we can provide to our business customers in the most cost-efficient manner possible. C&F Remote Deposit is all about convenience for our customers by providing greater electronic banking options. We expect to broaden our market boundaries and strengthen our existing relationships."

C&F Bank is also using Goldleaf's MarketingManager to promote C&F Remote Deposit. MarketingManager is a strategic resource that enables community banks to strengthen marketing, improve brand consistency, deepen customer relationships and increase revenue through specialized marketing campaigns. MarketingManager helps maximize the visibility and benefits of remote capture to otherwise untouched markets through the creation of specialized newspaper advertisements, direct mailers and other promotional materials.

"As the use of technology solutions has dramatically increased over the past few years it is no longer enough for financial institutions to simply offer a product like remote capture," said Lynn Boggs, CEO of Goldleaf Financial Solutions. "Today's banks need to promote their products to extend their market reach, gain new customers and enhance existing relationships. C&F Bank can now reach out to both current and previously untouched markets with useful solutions, in addition to promoting the institution and its values."
