Sybase 365, a subsidiary of Sybase, Inc. (NYSE:SY), the global leader in mobile messaging services, today announced its partnership with C-SAM, the pioneer in secure mobile phone-based transaction technology, to extend its mobile banking platform - Sybase mBanking 365 - to include a downloadable Java and NFC compatible client.

Retail and Commercial banks worldwide can now offer mobile banking services through SMS, WAP (Browser based), and a downloadable Java client, providing increased flexibility to interact with their customers.

"With mobile banking continuing to gain popularity around the globe, providing convenience and flexibility to financial institutions and their customers is crucial," said Matthew Talbot, vice president mCommerce, Sybase 365. "Adding the C-SAM client enables Sybase 365 to offer financial institutions a one-stop shop for mobile banking services. Whether a bank is looking for SMS messaging capabilities, a mobile internet browser solution, or a high-end client solution ready for NFC transactions, Sybase 365 can now provide a single integrated solution."

Sybase mBanking 365 services enable financial institutions to interact with customers in real-time through mobile alerts, two-way banking and payments services utilizing SMS, WAP and client based protocols, security enhancement applications such as two factor authentication (2FA), as well as online tools for marketing campaigns. Sybase mBanking 365 is the only solution to support natural language technology utilizing the Answers 365™ service, enabling customers to interact and access services intuitively via SMS, without the need to memorize set keywords.

"We are excited about the partnership with Sybase 365, as we are committed to providing consumers with a simple and secure solution for conducting mobile based transactions," said Mehul Desai COO at C-SAM. "With its strong global operator and banking relationships, Sybase 365 is well placed to leverage the IP and technology C-SAM has built over the years. Together, we offer a complete solution enabling customers to build a sustainable business model and offer consumers a rich suite of secure mobile applications."

C-SAM's secure Mobile Transaction Platform offers a host of services over a user-friendly mobile client that includes mobile banking, bill payments, money transfers, person-to-person payments, ticketing, coupons, loyalty, stored value, advertising, NFC-based proximity transactions, and other value added services for banks, operators, and merchants.
