This agreement is the latest in a series of CSF Designer contract wins for Metavante that includes European agreements with Banca di Roma and Banca Intesa, both based in Italy, and Bankinter and Linea Directa, both based in Spain.

Banca di Roma is Italy's fourth largest banking group with approximately 2,100 branches and five million customers. Banca Intesa is one of the largest European banks in the retail segment with nearly 13 million clients. Bankinter, headquartered in Madrid, Spain, is one of the top six Spanish banks worldwide and Linea Directa is the market leader in direct motor insurance with over three million customers.

“The cutting-edge functionality in CSF Designer is required by current and future business users to reduce development costs and quickly respond to market needs while streamlining support and maintenance efforts,” said René Grenacher, manager, system engineering, Output and Archiving Systems, Zürcher Kantonalbank. “CSF Designer will be used as our new documentation standard, replacing existing document composition tools within our organization. For nearly 11 years, Metavante has been our business partner and we're confident CSF Designer will provide us with the technological innovation to assist ZKB in developing a corporate standard in data management and utilization.”

The partnership between Metavante and ZKB was coordinated through The Astron Group, a distributor of integrated services for several Metavante European clients. Astron is a global business support services provider headquartered in the UK with offices throughout Europe.

CSF Designer allows companies to significantly expand their document composition capabilities with the technology to create dynamic, personalized, print and Internet-enabled communications for their customers — such as bills, statements, letters, notices, direct mail, booklets, and brochures. In addition, this functionality works across all LAN/WAN systems in a collaborative environment, allowing multiple users to seamlessly create, review, and approve documents from any location.

"Metavante's CSF Designer supports ZKB's goal of centralizing all customer documentation production activities,” said Cary M. Serif, executive vice president and group executive, Metavante e-Finance. “By implementing CSF Designer, ZKB has a complete documentation tool for the paper and electronic delivery of customer communications including the creation of dynamic, personalized customer documents. In addition, Metavante provides premium implementation services, support, and customer care vital to ZKB's success."
