Siperian's master data management platform will be used across lines of business and front and back office systems. Glitnir's approach will consolidate business applications, data warehouses and master data management into a single, enterprise architecture.

"In order to maintain our position in the global markets, we need to enhance our understanding of our customer relationships and the financial products they buy," said Pall Kolka Isberg, Managing Director Shared Services Office at Glitnir. "The deployment of Siperian MDM Hub will improve our customer-facing employee's ability to offer clients value added products and services."

Following several recent mergers and acquisitions in the Nordic region, Glitnir began overhauling its technology infrastructure to standardize new and existing systems and deliver unified views of customer and product data. Siperian MDM Hub will synchronize a variety of systems including accounting, risk management and customer relationship management to create a single reference database for master data. As a result, Glitnir will be able to support strategic initiatives in sales, marketing, risk management and product development while giving business users access to reliable, complete views of business data.

"Siperian's flexible architecture allows us to configure the master data management platform to meet our business requirements," said Isberg. "Siperian MDM Hub can be deployed in phases so that we can quickly address our high-priority business needs."

Mid-market corporate and investment banks see a competitive advantage in leveraging their information assets to create strategic advantages, but often encounter high costs to consolidate information technology. "With master data management software, mid-market banks can cost effectively create unified views of master data to enable critical processes such as cross-selling, customer on-boarding, enterprise risk management and customer analytics within a single software platform," said Pall Kolka Isberg.
