Ken Howes, Board Director of PIF, welcomes the alliance with IAMTN, commenting "PIF seeks to complement the activities of other associations that are committed to the growth of the payments market. This alliance with IAMTN is one of several key partnerships that PIF will be seeking and is designed to enable both organisations to consider common issues facing their respective memberships to mutual benefit"

Says Lady Olga Maitland CEO, IAMTN, "This is a natural synergy for IAMTN. As an umbrella organisation for all sectors of the payments industry, it is natural we should take an interest in the prepaid sector, which is growing at a phenomenal rate. Their global focus is important, the prepaid business activity is expanding fast in Europe but also in the Middle East and Asia.

"The alliance with PIF will help both organisations in their crucial endeavours in the international payments market.

Together we will keep the payments market worldwide informed of key developments. No sector of the global payments industry can operate in isolation. IAMTN sees it as an important role to provide co-ordinated information and support in developments in the prepaid area."
