Troux Technologies has today announced that electronic payments and transactions specialist VocaLink has become the latest customer of its strategic planning software platform, Troux 7.

VocaLink purchased Troux 7 to accelerate a significant transformation brought about by the merger of Voca and LINK Interchange Network announced in July this year and to speed IT planning decisions that will support business objectives.

Launched in September this year, Troux 7 is the industry's first strategic planning platform to support business and IT transformations, such as geographic expansions, mergers and acquisitions, portfolio optimisation, virtualisation or SOA.

VocaLink selected Troux 7 for visibility into how the IT assets from both companies relate to business services and to assist in merging and integrating IT services. The platform is also expected to identify opportunities for cost savings and rationalisation.

"We looked at a number of solutions and quickly came to the conclusion that only Troux could satisfy all of the post-merger needs of the newly created company," said Dominic Flatley, Enterprise Architecture Manager of VocaLink. "A key factor for us in selecting Troux was Troux Initiatives, allowing us to create scenarios and understand how business and IT transformations will impact the bottom line of our organisation."

"We are growing rapidly in EMEA and expect to see many more customers like VocaLink buying Troux 7 in the coming months," said Roger Andrews, EMEA Troux Technologies General Manager EMEA. "The merger between Voca and LINK makes VocaLink the ideal candidate to benefit from some of Troux 7's game-changing capabilities and will provide the ability to scale with the business as needed."
