ECommLink, a SellingSource company and a provider of branded, full-service prepaid debit card solutions and card processing, today announced an agreement with Discover Financial Services (NYSE: DFS).

eCommLink will provide the payment processing for the Discover eGift Card, a virtual prepaid card which can be used for purchases online or over the phone at millions of U.S. merchant locations that accept Discover Card.

Along with processing the transactions, eCommLink assisted in the development of the eGift Card website and is partnering with Discover Card on other marketing and promotions, including an SMS text messaging mobile solution that allows eGift Card purchasers to opt-in to receive a text message notifying them when the recipient receives the gift. eCommLink's system will also facilitate an instant, personalized email to eGift Card recipients alerting them of their gift and giving them access to their unique online eGift Card that can be printed or saved.

"We are honored that Discover Financial Services has selected eCommLink as the processor for this exciting new prepaid card program," said T. Jack Williams, President of eCommLink. "We are confident that eCommLink's advanced processing platform and marketing expertise, combined with Discover Card's recognized brand as a leading card issuer, will make for a successful partnership."

"Our company is absolutely thrilled to be a part of this program that provides an innovative and very convenient way for consumers to complete their holiday shopping without ever having to leave home," Williams said. "This virtual-type card, augmented by the email and text messaging features we are providing, is going to become more and more popular with busy, technology-savvy consumers."

Discover Card's eGift Cards are an instant gift that allows purchasers to choose any denomination from $20 to $500 and have it immediately delivered to its recipient by email. Additionally, eGift Cards can be personalized by virtually "embossing" them with a name and personal greeting. As many as 10 cards can be purchased at one time.
