Xiring, the security solutions provider for remote transactions, will showcase its new range of security solutions for remote transactions 'O2S Multi-Devices' at the 2007 Paris "Cartes et Identification" show.

European leader of strong authentication for e-banking and e-commerce, XIRING unveils its new Xi-Sign range, part of the O2S Multi-devices offering - the most complete range available on the market.

2007 saw the deployment of over 10 million smart card based security solutions to secure online banking with RCA technology1 in Europe. To accompany the take-off of this fast growing market, (estimated at over 130 million users), XIRING is launching a complete range of RCA solutions to address all the client segments and needs a bank may have.

Research and development efforts have been focused in particular on:
  • Ergonomics: the Xi-Sign range offers a solution for all types of clients (such as business and consumer) and for all types of usage (frequent, regular).
  • Connectivity: some Xi-Sign solutions are connected to the PC, others are not. XIRING has also designed an innovative plug-and-play (install-free), driverless connectable reader.
  • Solutions for specific segments: visually impaired and elderly users, business users
  • Design: Xi-Sign devices are designed to increase the bank's brand image. The new range adopts innovative concepts, high-tech materials and ergonomics from consumer electronics.

Among the new devices showcased at Cartes are:
  • Xi-Sign 4100: a clamshell pocket-sized personal reader,
  • Xi-Sign 4300: with a simple and intuitive design to facilitate use by all,
  • Xi-Sign 5000: an ultra-slim design, for high level clients,
  • Xi-Sign 4400: specifically designed for visually impaired users, with all messages provided in audio,
  • Xi-Sign 6900: connectable install-free solution,
  • 'Pro Range': for professional users, adapted for corporate use.

XIRING Xi-Sign solutions are compliant with CAP 2007 (MasterCard Chip Authentication Programme, Visa Dynamic Passcode Authentication), and benefit from the inherent security features of EMV smart cards. Beyond strong authentication and digital signature for online banking, XIRING's solutions comply with VISA and MasterCard standards for internet payments (3D-secure) and secure e-commerce.

"The CAP standard is now widely used in Europe. XIRING is offering a comprehensive new range of security solutions adapted for the general public, just like MP3 players or mobile phones," says Georges Liberman, XIRING CEO.
