Day Software (SWX: DAYN, OTCQX: DYIHY), a leading provider of global content management and content infrastructure software, has expanded its technology relationship with IBM by joining the IBM ECM ValueNet Partner Program.

Day's Communiqué Web Content Management (CQ WCM) and Communiqué Digital Asset Management (CQ DAM) applications have been integrated with IBM FileNet P8 providing customers worldwide with a single comprehensive solution for managing digital content.

Day and IBM will work together throughout the implementation process - through training, delivery, feedback and documentation - to provide the best, most relevant ECM solution for joint customers.

This partnership further validates Day's leadership in the emerging market of standardized Java Content Repositories and Web-centric content technologies.

"This cooperation is an excellent opportunity for us to make our content-centric technologies available to a large, global customer base," said Michael Moppert, CEO and chairman of Day Software. "We are excited about expanding our relationship with IBM, to offer total content management, DAM and collaboration products to blue-chip customers worldwide. Further integrating our technology with IBM's industry-leading enterprise content management solutions gives us a solid basis to continue the profitable growth of our company."

A comprehensive ECM solution for managing any type of digital content, IBM FileNet P8 uniquely combines document management with out-of-the-box workflow and process capabilities to automate and drive content-related tasks and activities. Day and IBM also have a previous agreement to develop a JSR 170-compliant content integration module for that product.

Initiated by Day, JSR 170 is the first industry-standard application programming interface (API) for content repositories. Revolutionizing content management, the standard relieves reliance on proprietary content management applications and eases vendor lock-in. JSR 170-compliant applications focus on the customer by allowing easy access and use to their most valuable information throughout the enterprise and beyond.
