BioPassword's innovative software uses a simple, yet powerful combination of the user's standard login credentials (username and password), keystroke biometrics (their unique typing rhythm), knowledge-based authentication (user selected questions and answers) or software one-time passwords (single use password delivered to your mobile device) to ensure system access is only available to authorized users.
"The reputation of BioPassword for being secure, scalable and immediately deployable across an enterprise network and the Internet without impacting business was key in our decision to integrate them into our solutions," said John Macaluso, Fiserv senior vice president of strategy and marketing and chief technology officer. "At Fiserv we want to ensure that we give our clients every opportunity to keep their organizations compliant and secure."
BioPassword authentication software will be integrated with the following Fiserv teller and customer sales and servicing solutions: CBS Desktop, CBS Teller and Fiserv Aperio.
"The combination of BioPassword, a leader in multifactor authentication solutions, with a financial services industry leader such as Fiserv, will produce a market leading proposition for institutions," said Mark Upson, CEO and president, BioPassword, Inc. "We look forward to providing Fiserv with the industry-leading advantage of BioPassword by verifying the specific user with no change in user behavior and authentication that delivers over 99 percent accuracy, based on an independent Tolly Group report."
