Ingrian, the leading provider of data privacy solutions, today announced that eWay, a creator of online platforms for Internet credit-card transactions, has deployed Ingrian DataSecure Platforms within their data centers to encrypt sensitive information collected during credit card transactions.
eWAY has also deployed Ingrian EdgeSecure Appliances within merchant data centers for the encryption of data before transmission to eWAY, ensuring PCI compliance both for eWAY and its customers.
"With Ingrian's encryption solutions we can place hardware at our customer sites and integrate their web servers so that encryption of data takes place immediately and there is no latency between when data enters our system and when encryption happens," said Matt Bullock, CEO of eWAY. "This gives our merchants extra confidence that they're secure and PCI compliant. Randtronics' recommendation as to what encryption solution fit our needs was right on target."
Based in Canberra, Australia, eWAY is the number one payment gateway in Australia and deals with a high volume of transactions. In order to become PCI compliant and enhance already-existing data security practices, eWAY hired Randtronics, a security consulting company, to recommend and help eWAY implement the best security solutions to meet their needs.
"With their unique remote encryption offerings, Ingrian enables eWAY to differentiate itself as a payment processor whose first priority is compliance," said Bob Adhar, CEO of Randtronics. "Merchants can rest easier knowing that Ingrian not only protects eWAY's data, but their data as well."
Ingrian encryption solutions are based on an integrated security architecture that provides customers with standards-based cryptography, a proven key management strategy, easy deployment and support, and solutions interoperability - giving organizations all the components required to harness encryption and ensure complete data privacy.
"eWAY is a great example of how payment processors can differentiate themselves and help customers by deploying the right security technology," said Michael Howard, CEO at Ingrian. "Centralized key management is an important component to a merchant's encryption strategy and as more consumers purchase online, payment gateway providers will need to provide smaller merchants with a scalable yet powerful encryption technology solution that is interoperable with their own security systems. With its smaller footprint and easy integration, Ingrian EdgeSecure is an excellent choice."
