TNS gets IP network certification in France

Transaction Network Services (TNS) has become the first IP gateway operator in France to achieve certification for its secure IP/X.25 network.

Granted by the Groupement Cartes Bancaires, TNS' IP converting solutions, ConverterPoint, FusionPoint and DSLPoint, associated with its TransXpress Secure SSL platform, are also accredited with the new IP encryption standard.

The GIE CB certification was introduced in January as a way of offering assurance to the banks that all telecom providers, processors and POS companies have the necessary levels of security in place for transporting and processing financial transactions. Each transaction transported by TNS will conform to the new encryption standard.

Thierry Jasserand, Regional Director, Northern Europe at TNS, comments, "With the use of IP in the payments industry rapidly growing, TNS' IP network accreditation reinforces the extremely high standards of security, and provides peace of mind for all our customers. Being certified by the GIE CB representing all the French banks is a fantastic achievement and illustrates TNS' commitment to IP development. This certification puts us ahead of the competition and enables TNS to raise the standards in the market and provide the best possible network for transaction transportation."
