Ultimus, the #1 provider of Business Process Management (BPM) and workflow software and solutions, with more than 1,600 customers worldwide, today announced that Members 1st Federal Credit Union, the third largest credit union in Pennsylvania, has selected the Ultimus BPM Suite for its process automation needs.

Members 1st FCU enjoys the position of being a technology advanced credit union. Each part of its business has exceptional solutions specific to their operations. However, in support areas such as HR, training, facilities, security, risk management, and ITS, many processes exist which are entirely paper-based and are inherently slow because they rely upon mail, fax and courier services. Members 1st FCU needed a feasible method to improve paper-based processes and extend the integration between various parts of its business systems. After researching several BPM and workflow solutions, the credit union selected the Ultimus BPM Suite because of its flexibility, extendibility and affordable price.

"Members 1st felt that Ultimus provided advanced functionality for implementation and adaptation, driving agility into every part of the company," said Jay Parrish, Executive Vice President and CIO for Members 1st Federal Credit Union. "We support an entirely Microsoft-based environment, using business solutions that use either Microsoft SQL or Oracle databases. The Ultimus BPM Suite is absolutely perfect for a complex environment and can accommodate our most advanced needs, including providing us with the ability to fully integrate the data captured and created by Ultimus with any business solution and fully automate our manual, paper-based processes."

"We consider the Ultimus deployment one of the most important and exciting initiatives we have scheduled to launch," he added.

Using the Ultimus BPM Suite, Members 1st FCU plans to automate its most common global paper or manual processes first, starting with key HR processes. The BPM project will be a collaborative effort, requiring a combination of business and IT as well as people and skills in a team. While it will be facilitated and coordinated by the credit union's IT department, the project will also include business analysts and business specialists from Members 1st FCU's various business units to ensure success.

"Financial institutions, and credit unions in particular, are well-suited to leverage the effectiveness of process automation with Ultimus' scalable, secure BPM platform," said Rashid Khan, Chief Technical and Strategy Officer of Ultimus. "By implementing the Ultimus BPM Suite, Members 1st FCU will entirely change the way they handle key processes, enabling them to become more agile, efficient and productive."

As the leading human-centric BPM platform, the Ultimus BPM Suite automates any process incorporating people, applications and organizations. Now in its eighth generation, the Ultimus BPM Suite is the most feature rich product in the industry, with enhancements driven from real experience gained from working with more than 1,600 organizations, 2.2 million active users, and tens of thousands of processes worldwide.
