David Sear, Divisional Managing Director, Travelex Outsourcing added: "For sometime now, we have seen consumer interest and usage of prepaid travel cards rise - we've now got the right product with the right distribution and we're confident that we will really see sales of the card rise. The size of the Visa acceptance network sets the Cash Passport apart from our prepaid competitors. We are excited to be able to offer Thomas Cook's customers the benefits of using our card."

Mark Nancarrow Managing Director - Financial Services, Thomas Cook Group plc added: "Ensuring the products we sell to our customer is of the highest standard is key to signing any new deals. The 'holiday wallet' is an important part of anyone's holidays and at Thomas Cook we want to be able to offer the widest range of options for people for when they go away. The fact that the Visa card has a truly global acceptance - and the emergency assistance Travelex offers for users of the card - makes this a perfect choice for us to offer our customers."

The Cash Passport Visa card is reloadable for three years and is available in EUR USD and GBP.

Travelex is the largest global distributor of prepaid travel cards with global usage growing by more than 30 per cent in 2007. PIN and signature protection and global Emergency Assistance - are also attracting security conscious travellers.
