Under the agreement, the SlaterLabs development team and leading technologists from Microsoft will work side by side to help assure the performance, scalability, reliability and quality of the SlaterLabs' Etude Programme, the first mission critical banking software application suite developed exclusively on Microsoft.Net.

"Microsoft is delighted to reach this extended level of collaboration with SlaterLabs. We have already witnessed broad interest in The Etude Programme at a global level and now the focus will turn to delivery and quality. Having our technology subject matter experts deeply engaged with the SlaterLabs team will give customers a higher level of assurance of our commitment to these mission critical projects," said Austen Mulinder, Vice President, Worldwide Enterprise Sales, Microsoft Corp.

Commenting on the expanded relationship with Microsoft, John Slater, Chairman and CEO of SlaterLabs, said, "This agreement reinforces our belief that The Etude Programme is a significant new force in banking software solutions. The unique combination of the innovative SlaterLabs Etude Programme with Microsoft's expertise in building mission critical systems, ensures we can now continue to provide banking clients worldwide with access to the most advanced, functionally rich, and technologically conformant application software. We look forward to being able to take this opportunity and turn it into real benefits for our customers."

The SlaterLabs and Microsoft teams will work in Europe and the United States over an initial period of two years with options to extend. During this time, SlaterLabs will utilise the latest software, development tools and methodologies from Microsoft, allowing its developers to conform to the highest standards of performance, reliability and quality for a .NET based enterprise software application. Microsoft will also assist by reviewing, advising and verifying that the SlaterLabs design and development remains consistent with Microsoft's Best Practices. As a direct result of these activities, SlaterLab's customers will be able to take advantage of a number of specialised, Microsoft mission critical services to assist in the integration, deployment and support of The Etude Programme.
