Reuters (NASDAQ:RTRSY) (LSE:RTR) announced today the launch of Reuters Messaging Compliance Manager (RMCM), during SIFMA's 2007 Technology Management Conference & Exhibit in New York (June 19-21). This new hosted service from Reuters helps fill a void in end-to-end compliance solutions for enterprise messaging and real-time collaboration and allows financial organizations to meet regulatory requirements.
RMCM minimizes deployment costs and provides powerful tools to enforce policies, reduce business and legal risks, and satisfy both industry and company compliance standards. Consistent with industry retention guidelines, RMCM allows customers to log all Reuters Messaging (RM) communications for up to seven years. Customers will also benefit from Reuters robust data center infrastructure and around the clock global support, which are core attributes to all Reuters products.
Complementing Reuters Messaging, used by 90,000 financial market professionals, RMCM will help compliance officers and IT managers adhere to compliance standards with customizable communication restrictions and permissions, and comprehensive user activity monitoring and reporting.
David Gurle, Global Head of Reuters Collaboration Services, says: "Many of our customers have asked for enterprise messaging compliance solutions which are cost efficient and address every facet of electronic communications, such as media-rich formats and mobile user compliance. Reuters hosted compliance service can be rapidly implemented, minimizes deployment and maintenance costs, and helps ensure that all Reuters Messaging related compliance needs are successfully met."
