VeriFone Holdings (NYSE: PAY) today announced an enhanced PAYware solutions suite for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The new PAYware solutions provide a comprehensive set of software tools specifically designed for integrated retail environments and are part of a complete, end-to-end Integrated Retail Solutions offering, incorporating VeriFone's countertop, wireless and unattended hardware solutions, back-end software, and supporting professional services.

Specifically developed for a wide range of indoor and outdoor environments, including multi-lane retail, department stores, hospitality and fuel retailing, the enhanced PAYware range comprises a full suite of solutions to address merchants' end-to-end needs for payment, value-added solutions, and estate management.

The PAYware suite includes the industry-leading PAYware Merchant transaction authorisation and settlement solution, and PAYware Link, VeriFone's powerful software tool that provides seamless and secure EMV payment integration, removing the complex smart card processing away from the POS system. Augmenting VeriFone's PAYware GiftCard and PAYware PrePay solutions for value-added applications are two new offerings: PAYware Signature for electronic signature capture at the point-of-sale, and PAYware Content, which enables the secure management, storage, and delivery of media-rich content to multimedia devices, including the MX800 Series of consumer-facing systems. To complete the suite of products, VeriFone has a complete range of estate management solutions that will help retailers to lower the overall cost of ownership for their payment infrastructure.

"This enhanced PAYware suite delivers an unmatched package of proven, flexible and highly secure software solutions that will add value for any retailer, in any environment. By making it easy, profitable and cost-effective to implement the full range of integrated retail solutions, VeriFone is providing more choice and a single point of contact for all of our customers' payment needs," said Nigel Bidmead, managing director for VeriFone EMEA.
