QuIC Financial Technologies Inc., a global solutions provider of risk management, pricing and financial analytics solutions, announces the release of version 2.8 of the QuIC Product Suite.

The new release allows QuIC Script to directly interact with Microsoft SQL databases, and adds a number of other refinements, including a new technique for communicating with other systems via Message Queues.

Said Nigel Cairns, President and CEO of QuIC, "We already deliver the fastest and most flexible analytics solutions in the risk management industry. This release focuses on features that allow our customers to access a greater range of corporate data in building models and creating analyses. The support for SQL Server—in addition to Oracle and SyBase databases—broadens the market for our solutions, and Message Queue interaction allows QuIC Engine integration into more environments."

The QuIC Product Suite features an exceptionally fast vector-based calculation and simulation platform for pricing, risk management and financial analytics. Built with fully open technology, the QuIC Product Suite integrates easily with in-house and partner systems and provides a shared calculation fabric that can be leveraged throughout an organisation.

Microsoft SQL Server provides an integrated database management and analysis solution that is widely used in many enterprises. SQL support in the QuIC Product Suite allows QuIC Data Channel plugins to speak directly to SQL databases. Message Queue interaction is an alternate method for inter-process communication to and from external environments.
