Thunderhead, the leading provider of enterprise communications software, today announced the launch of Thunderhead v3.5.

This latest release incorporates several new features to further enhance Thunderhead's best-in-class business usability, adding revolutionary new reporting capabilities designed to improve management visibility into document-intensive business processes.

The Thunderhead platform brings together ad hoc, high-volume batch and real-time document generation functionality to deliver a single, scalable solution that addresses multi-channel business communication requirements across the enterprise.

Building on Thunderhead's three critical design pillars - innovation, business usability and enterprise readiness - this new release once again raises the bar for enterprise communications software and further establishes Thunderhead as the technology leader in the enterprise communications market.

In addition to the new management reporting module and numerous business usability enhancements, Thunderhead v3.5 delivers a highly intuitive template comparison utility and full support for internationalization. The product also incorporates several significant enhancements to Thunderhead's integration with leading enterprise content management (ECM) and business process management (BPM) solution offerings.

Key features of Thunderhead v3.5 include:
  • Management Reporting - Thunderhead v3.5 introduces a Web-based reporting module that provides critical management information and statistics for document-intensive business operations. Producing ad hoc communications, such as customer correspondence, represents an enormous cost for many call center and customer service operations. Thunderhead's new management reporting module improves management visibility into user performance and productivity, and provides critical insights into how organizations use their own communication templates. This information is vital in helping organizations to continually improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Template Comparison - Thunderhead v3.5 includes a new utility that will allow the side-by-side comparison of Thunderhead templates, highlighting differences in both content and business logic between templates. This template comparison utility is designed to streamline the process of template creation and management by enabling the rapid review and approval of modifications.
  • Internationalization - With the 3.5 release, Thunderhead has fully internationalized its platform, allowing the entire product, including its interfaces and resources, to be fully translated into any language. With plans to expand its operations into continental Europe and Asia in 2007, Thunderhead expects to begin shipping non-English versions of its software later this year.

"Since its founding, Thunderhead has focused on empowering business users and streamlining the process for creating and managing business communications," said Nick Tuson, vice president of product marketing for Thunderhead. "With our 3.5 release, we are providing business users with the ability to further accelerate the review, revision and approval of their critical business content."

"Additionally, with our new reporting module, we are helping our customers to achieve greater productivity and deliver superior customer service by providing critical management visibility into their customer communications and the processes driving them," Tuson said. "And, finally, the globalization of our platform allows us to begin serving the rapidly growing international demand for our products."

The Thunderhead Enterprise Communications Platform 3.5 will be generally available in July 2007.
