By growing the program's scope beyond credit and debit card programs, Metavante has empowered financial institutions to award points for online bill payment activity. Financial institutions now have the option of deploying an integrated rewards program for any combination of credit, debit or electronic bill payment services. Metavante is the banking and payments technology subsidiary of Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (NYSE: MI).

"Integrating online bill payment into our rewards program enables financial institutions to further improve customer loyalty and drive transaction activity," said Frank D'Angelo, group president, Metavante Payment Solutions. "Online bill pay and card-based rewards programs are two proven customer retention tools. Combining them will compound their appeal and allow our clients to reward their customers for using multiple products. We're delivering value at the relationship level in addition to increasing product functionality. By helping our clients compete more effectively, Metavante sets its clients, and itself, apart from others in the payments marketplace."

Metavante Points2U is a points-based rewards program for credit card, debit card and online bill payment programs. Featuring easy implementation, minimal upfront expense and a customizable rewards website, Points2U enables financial institutions to offer rewards their customers want, such as merchandise, gift cards and flexible travel certificates.
