AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today announced a new networking services contract with Viewpoint Bank, a financial institution with headquarters in Plano, Texas and 33 locations throughout the Greater Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Under the terms of the three-year contract, an AT&T operating company will serve as the primary provider, delivering MPLS Virtual Private Network (VPN) to the bank's offices and headquarters.

AT&T VPN will allow Viewpoint Bank to streamline management of valuable network resources with reliability, scalability and security. Viewpoint Bank will experience any-to-any connectivity with traffic prioritization for a customized network solution with the flexibility to expand when levels of higher bandwidth are required.

"We need a converged voice and data network that can quickly and securely support the transmission of essential customer information," said Jim Parks, executive vice president and chief information officer, Viewpoint Bank. "We're confident that the solution provided by AT&T will equip us with a flexible and reliable network to help us increase employee efficiency and improve service to our customers."

With the converged network infrastructure, Viewpoint Bank will be able to combine voice and data traffic onto one simplified network which will support the secure transfer of private customer data among more than 85 of Viewpoint Bank's ATM locations and its remote data center.
