ADVFN delivers Plus and LSE Level 3 data

ADVFN (LSE:AFN) has joined forces with PLUS Markets Group to supply investors with the most complete view of stock data for London Stock Exchange-listed shares.

The Level 3 product combines two pools of liquidity by showing the full order book - all outstanding orders to buy and sell shares in the market - for stocks traded on both the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and on the PLUS quote-driven trading platform. ADVFN is the only place on the internet where private investors can view an amalgamation of the 'bid' and 'offer' for each market participant, in addition to the size they are buying or selling in, for both trading platforms.

The move to incorporate data from PLUS, which is quickly becoming a favoured trading platform for UK retail brokers and market makers, into ADVFN's Level 3 screen marks a major elevation in market transparency for private investors.

"Level 2 as we currently know it only shows LSE trading data. As such, it is an incomplete picture of what is happening in the market. Without PLUS trading information, investors simply don't have an accurate and comprehensive view of market trading," said Clem Chambers, CEO of ADVFN. "ADVFN champions the private investor and therefore fully supports PLUS in its creation of an alternative deep pool of trading liquidity which has become a crucial part of UK share trading."

"We are delighted to be working with ADVFN to provide private investors with the most complete picture of trading activity in the London equity markets," said Cyril Theret, Business Development Director at PLUS Markets Group. "We are committed to total market transparency, better prices for investors and improving liquidity for the increasing number of companies trading on our platform. ADVFN's Level 3 is a significant step forward in delivering these benefits to private investors."
