Prospective homebuyers can now apply on-line for a mortgage and receive immediate feedback concerning the application process. Through a significant feature enhancement S&T Bank (NASDAQ:STBA) has made to its online mortgage application, homebuyers can now visit the bank's website - http://www.stbank.com/ - and initiate the mortgage application and approval process.

This new application feature enables mortgage applicants to obtain an online decision within five minutes of electronically submitting a mortgage application. According to Joanne Duggan, S&T vice president - mortgage servicing, "This product allows borrowers to obtain rate information and start the application process in the comfort of their own home. They will receive an immediate response regarding the status of their mortgage application. This added features enables us to provide an even higher level of customer service, increase internal efficiencies and to service the mortgage needs of consumers in areas where we do not currently have a brick and mortar presence."
