The certified application was custom developed for Chase Paymentech by Ingenico and includes a host of features that enable wireless payments for a wide range of industries including retail, restaurant, and convenience stores. Application features include Pay@Table, contactless payment support, stored value (gift card), IP capabilities, store and forward, English or Spanish language, IRS tip reporting, Open & close tab, shift and clerk/server tracking, cash back, Amex split dial, Amex PIP, credit, debit, and EBT.

"The move to a Class A certification makes the selling of Ingenico solutions through Chase Paymentech's sales channels much easier than under the Class B previously held," said Geoff Bowen, President, Ingenico North America.

"Many of the small ISO's and resellers don't wish to handle support issues or use third party help desks, so they choose to sell Class A certified products which are fully supported by the processor, in this case Chase Paymentech. We expect to see a significant increase in Ingenico products due to this certification and our focused marketing approach within this channel."

"Merchants are recognizing the many advantages of adopting secure wireless payments capabilities and Chase Paymentech is paving the way for new payment technologies that benefit both merchant and consumer," said Jennifer Stout, Group Executive Retail Products, Chase Paymentech. "We are pleased to join forces with industry leaders, Ingenico, to provide the market with practical, cost effective wireless solutions."

The Ingenico i7780 is a secure, short-range portable transaction terminal that allows credit, PIN debit, stored value and EBT payment to be brought to the customer. With a range of over 300 feet, the i7780 is ideally suited for Pay@Table and curbside applications in restaurants and bars, for in-car service at drive-in quick lube chains and retail merchants looking to maintain clutter free display cases, use at sidewalk sales, or anywhere a wireless terminal would improve customer service or operating efficiencies.

The i5100 is a cost-effective IP-enabled countertop transaction terminal capable of operating in either dial or IP communication modes. IP transaction speeds are decreased to as few as 4 seconds, thus offering the merchant improved checkout speed and service. Capable of handling credit, debit, and other magnetic card transactions such as loyalty, and prepaid, the i5100 is a versatile, robust way for merchants everywhere to accept electronic payments. To make PIN entry more convenient and private, the 3010 PIN Pad can be easily attached to the i5100 or other terminal products.
