"In business process management, systems-to-systems integrations and human-to-human interactions within the context of a process are equally critical, therefore a TIBCO-Staffware integration is complementary and a very natural fit," says Hollis Bischoff, vice president of Technology Research Services with META Group. "Business process management is still a greenfield market. Vendors that capitalize on this by providing first class management of process components (systems, humans, tasks) will lead the market."
"The acquisition of Staffware by TIBCO is a very positive development. Historically, both companies have been strategic suppliers to KPN and we believe the combination of the two companies' technologies will provide our organization with a more flexible IT environment and deliver substantial benefits," says KPN program manager, Cees Euser.
BPM enables companies to save time and money by driving costs and time out of business processes (for example, reducing error rates or manual steps), while at the same time ensuring that business processes are compliant with internal procedures and external regulations. End-to-end command and control over enterprise business processes and the ability to dynamically modify these processes enables organizations to quickly adapt to changing business conditions. TIBCO's BPM products enable Predictive Business, a key element of which is the ability to adapt business operations to fully leverage emerging opportunities.
"Each company's unique way of doing business is captured in its business processes. For this reason, business processes are rapidly becoming the most valuable corporate asset," says Ram Menon, senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing at TIBCO Software Inc. "TIBCO's solution for automating, integrating and dynamically managing business processes provides companies with the ability to quickly adapt to changing business conditions and optimize their operation for significant gain."
